It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of Sue Calhoun. After battling cancer for many years, she died peacefully surrounded by her loved ones. A native Ohioan, she was senior class valedictorian at Cubberley High School in Palo Alto, CA, and earned her BA in English at Stanford University. Beloved wife of 55 years of Alan; sister of Janet; mother of Nancy, Donald and Benjamin; mother-in-law of Todd, Michelle and Wendy; grandmother of Timothy, Renee, Noah, Alexander, Jacob and Abby; great-grandmother of Jamee. She will be cherished forever for her generous, sweet, and loving spirit. She had a beautiful singing voice and a deep faith in God, was a prolific quilter, loved mystery novels, puzzles and board games.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in her name to Humane Society of Silicon Valley (http://www.hssv.org/) or Child Fund International (https://www.childfund.org/).
A Celebration of Life will be held on June 29, 2019 at Sanborn Park, Saratoga, beginning at 10:30 am.
