Born December 10, 1941 to Roger Minott Sherman and Ruth Blanchard Sherman, Roger Sherman II, 73, of Tracy, died unexpectedly from surgical complications at Stanford Hospital on December 22, 2014.

Roger was a creative soul with many impressive accomplishments, a charming personality, and an incredible sense of humor. At a young age Roger displayed his creative talent by authoring "The Daily Weekly" newspaper with his childhood friend, John Stuart. In 1961, Roger graduated from the New Mexico Military Institute earning an Associate of Arts degree, and attended the University of Arizona excelling in the subjects of French, painting, illustration, and design. A proud descendant of ancestor Roger Sherman, signer of the Declaration of Independence, Roger was a member of the United States Marine Corps, and received an honorable discharge in 1971.

Roger went on to open Roger Sherman Advertising in 1968. Roger leaves behind the love of his life, wife Chonne Sherman, beloved daughters Brooke Mahmutovic (Jasmin), Lindsey O'Shea (Brady), Celeste Beautz (Luke), Shannon Tujague (Ryan), Elizabeth Napoli (Patrick) and son, Eric Turnage.

I am saddened to hear of Rogers death.  I'll forever remember him as and funny guy with a big heart, running around with John Stuart.

roger and i go back to elementary school 5th grade at fairmeadow ...and then high school where he was one of the funniest guys on campus............was good to see him again at our 50th....what a guy....condolences to his family....i am sure he had a wonderful creative life...and left much great work here on earth....adios roger.

Such sad news regarding Roger's death.  I too went to Fairmeadows, Wilbur and Cubberly with Roger.  I'll always remember was how kind he was towards me throughout those years. My condolences to his family and friends.

Judie Sherwood (Elliott)

What a shock reading of Roger's passing.  Classmate since Fairmeadows Elementary, then Wilbur Jr. Hi. and on to Cubberley.  I will remember his humor.  My thoughts are with his family. Judie Sherwood Elliott
